Brooklyn: The Big Borough That Could
 |
To the left is a photo of the brownstone I house sat for the summer in the Park Slope neighborhood of Brooklyn. The older couple who entrusted me with their home was so caring (but had that "real New Yorker" mentality all the same :o ) They really did remind me of Dr. and Mrs. Huxtable from The Cosby Show. [Side note: Whatever happened to Theo?]

Here is a photo of me on the beach at Coney Island. I had never been on such dirty sand in my life! But, it was awesome anyway. There were sooo many people, all enjoying the water on a hot summer day. Nothing like the beach scene I'm use to (think Florida), but I can see why New Yorkers ~ the from the city, love the city, never leavin' the city kind, love it so much.

One of the landmarks of Brooklyn is Junior's Restaurant Bar & Grill. Everyone who is anyone visiting the borough must eat here at least one, or so I was told. So late one night I went for a cheesecake run with one of my friends. Great, great, great!
