- Whether looking at the heart or at a home, we'll be learning to decorate from the inside out--letting the outward be a reflection of the beautifully adorned interior. Join me here at Adorn as I use this little space in the vast blogworld to explore my childhood dream of interior design and possibly learn a thing or two about myself in the process.

Grand surprises await you and me.
Fave verse since the 11th grade. Still gives me butterflies every time.
(If only you knew the significance of finding this one, MCK.)

Happy Father’s Day (belated)
This will always make me think of you, Dad. (Well, not the picture. Pardon the goofy looking woman.) These simple words of wisdom always hanging on your fridge. I think this Father’s Day, of all the things I am grateful for about you, I want to thank you for the token words of wisdom you have shared with me over the years. I know we have lived in two different cities, and states for that matter, for the past four years. I know we don’t get to spend as many hours in a day together as we would like. I know we’ve learned how to make excellent use of the phone. But every single time you share a bit of that large dose of wisdom you’ve been given, I lap it right up and let it soak right in; letting it meet me right where I am, as I believe you intend it (thanks to those crazy good listening skills you got, you manage that one well). Take a look at these good times and imagine all the great ones in between!
Thanks, Dad!! Here’s to you on your 22nd Father’s Day!
P.S. Just for some fun for the crowd….
Dad at 13! Such a good little brother at your sister’s deb ball…it seems you and Bud have a good bit in common

With glittering eyes
How easy do I become jaded with the progression of time, age and rubbing up against the world. Things that were designed to be a joy often become drudge work and a nuisance. Challenges that provide opportunities for me to overcome just become hindrances to my “need it and need it now” attitude. It seems my vision has been dulled. But with perspective that is far bigger than my own comes beauty in all things. Give me glittering eyes, sweet Jesus.

Water to my soul
THIS, my friends, has been my anthem of the last week. Now to make it my anthem for ALWAYS. Doesn’t every girl want someone to fight for her? If this doesn’t sound like love, I don’t know what does. Teach me to be still, Lord.
