Name: Lindley Curtis
Location: Athens, Georgia, United States

I'm a senior public relations major at the University of Georgia, and I love to learn. I ask tons of questions and appreciate being taught new things. I am an AP style dork and enjoy editing. I'm also working on my New Media Certificate and will be graduating in December 2009. My interests include: new media, social networking (Twitter's my favorite), graphic design, UGA Football, Atlanta Braves, country music, shopping, meeting new people, dachshunds, beaches, cheesy television and picnics.

Seize the Day!

I think I can, I think I can, I think I can BLOG.

In the past, I have been guilty of enthusiastically starting a blog with the promise of becoming a dedicated blogger, but I always fall short of my goal--short of my goal to maintain my enthusiasm for blogging and make time in my busy schedule to write, even if it's only a short update post. With that said, I have decided to seize the day. I AM GOING TO BECOME A DEDICATED BLOGGER. PERIOD.

This semester, I am taking New Media Production at the University of Georgia in Athens, Ga. Yesterday our lesson was to build a blog into our Web site that we have been adding to all semester. With this assignment, I have decided that I want to join the blogosphere by contributing my own material and commenting on the blogs of my peers.

I think what has dampened my enthusiasm and hindered my dedication in the past has been that I perceived blogging to be a chore. Instead of enjoying blogging by writing my own content and ideas, I viewed blogging as "work" since I was required to post on a specific reading assignment for class or discuss a topic that was of little interest to me. NO MORE. Today I have decided this WILL change. I will write what I want to write, but more importantly I WILL WRITE.

So I hope you will visit my blog from time to time to see what's new in the wide world of Lindley, as this "work in progress" continues to learn, experience, grow and live life.
