Project Description
The Athens Twilight Criterium is fun, fast and frenetic. Things can get dangerous with about 30,000 people packed into a few downtown blocks while bikers ride roughly between 25-35 miles per hour down only a stretch of 60 km (roughly 37 miles!)
Our Web application was designed to help you enhance your Twilight experience: our goal is to help you know what's going on, where and when to be, who's winning the race, where to get a bite/drink or where to park. Here is the breakdown:
THE DYNAMIC TAB:
This is where you can watch brief interviews with the bikers participating in Twilight and/or live videos from the Twilight Criterium, see exciting slideshows and pictures, and find out the race updates to see who is in the lead or who won the race.
TWITTER TAB:
Stay current with everyone's Twilight-related activity. People attending the Crit tag their tweets with a hashtag (#crit09) and are then displayed on one page for you.
MAPS TAB:
Here is where you can find parking for the race, grab a bite to eat, get a drink, toss your trash or recyclables, find a restroom, or find places that serve Terapin beer.
SCHEDULE TAB:
The Crit isn't just one race. Here you can find an overview of all Twilight-related events, so you know where you should be at a certain time.
